Editorial Standards
These are the rules we hold ourselves to when we write for PercussionDream.
Accuracy
We aim to be correct and clear. Technical information is based on published manufacturer information and established percussion practice. When we find or are told about an error, we fix it.
Honesty about what we know
- We do not publish invented prices, discounts, star ratings or awards.
- We do not claim to have tested a product unless the article explains how it was tested.
- We do not publish fabricated customer reviews, testimonials or endorsements.
- We do not invent author names, biographies or credentials.
Independence
Affiliate commissions fund this site, but they do not decide what we recommend. We do not accept payment for placement in our guides. See our affiliate disclosure.
Dates and updates
Guides show the date they were last updated. We revisit them as products and advice change.
Safety and teaching
Percussion can be loud, so we mention hearing protection where it matters. Our content supports, but does not replace, a qualified teacher. If your teacher or band director specifies particular gear, follow their advice.
Copyright
We do not publish copyrighted songs, transcriptions or sheet music. Practice patterns on this site are original. Photographs are used under licences that permit it.
